Steam Community Update

I believe many of you have received these as well, but here's a thread for those who haven't.

Steam sent out Beta invites as tradeable inventory items. I received two of them, so after activating one myself I still have a spare to give out if anyone is interested.

Also I received a 75% off coupon for Portal 2, which is good through the 30th I think. The coupon description mentions an upcoming co-op update, woot woot!

I've got a beta invite in my inventory too if someone else needs/wants one. I have to say I rather like it.

I got two invites as well, already claimed one for myself and will probably hand the other out "soon".

I also got the 75% off coupon for Portal 2... no use for it since I bought it during the Steam Summer Sale.

actually its not like fb. only way that it could relate to fb is that you can click on a button to give a friends activity a +rep

what the update did was reskinned the friends feed and the community feed.

also there were 50,000 codes that went out total.

because as of august 2012 there are over 54 million active user accounts

so only 1% of people got keys to the total
