So anyone rent/own this for the ps3?(for ppl who don't know it's ps3 only)


I was wanting to rent this, but was waiting till I see if anyone else has this. Since the faction I choose I'm stuck with untill I hit lvl 60 Kinda sucks that I can't change factions as easy but meh. It looks fun and the huge 256 battles look crazy and fun as hell.

I havn't played it. wanted other ppls reviews or what not.
if other ppl have it, I wanted to be on the same side with friends then just randomly picking one.

i have it and ive put 20-30 hours in it so far. i would recommend getting bf bad company 2 instead. mag is good n all but it just doesnt compare. the controls are way more stiff in mag. the online is pretty lag free but i still notice fps drops and internet issues. the greatest thing about mag though is the team play. those massive battles get damn crazy and its awesome to see 30 guys charge the flag.

but seriously just get bad company 2. unless you get that for pc, then mag is the next best shooter for ps3 besides killzone 2.

i played BF:BC2 for the pc. I got my hands on a beta key. It was fun, but after a while it just seemed boring. Take it I only had one map. Not to mention the mortor spamming can get annoying and gay.

I have never "owned" a BF game. They just seem to loose their luster VERY quickly. When 1942 came out spoutin it's 64 player which was the max at the time. It was fun, but later all those other ones just seemed kinda gay.

You got to remember it's a console hands, the controls will probably be a little stiff....need a way to get a mouse n keyboard on a console cheaply.


What faction you on. I got a couple ppl playing valor, if I rent I will probably go that way also. With all the faction/fanboyism it's hard telling what sides have better teamwork or what best fits your style of game play.

that split fish remote i picked a couple lans ago is good for fps, i use it for MW2. I'd imagine it'd work well for MAG too

i wondered who got that.

so does it kinda feel like a keyboard n mouse.


also do you like it over the regular controler?

it's half a controller and a mouse so it's not really the same as the beloved keyboard mouse combo but it handles pretty good, makes me more accurate than i am with a controller. i usually do better when i use it over a regular controller, for certain games. The turning is way to slow though, so if somebody gets behind you your pretty much fucked

even after tweaking all the settings to max?

i am on raven. my name is Hands if you want to add me on ps3. ill play some time if you alert me a good amount of time before. valor is teh suck with snipers. and im a sniper so i love love love the ravens with their 50cal 1 shot kill cannon.

have you tried other factions and what do you mean valor sucsk with sniper rifles? they weak or something? but then agian I don't really do sniping.. i suck and well it just seems to make the play go slow.

if you turn the sensitivity up to max on both the controller and the game it does get a little better, but when you get to a menu screen good luck tryin to get to anything you want

yes i have tried the other factions. ive played at least 6-8 hours on each faction, remaking my raven guy 2 times (4th character was raven and is current). valor is really good with heavy mg, raven for sniper, sver just sucks ass. I HATE THEM

ok sounds good, I'll probaby start valor and if it sucks ill switch to raven. How do you switch factions without going vet? Can you delete your guy or something?



link hav eyou done any firmware updates to it? I got a friend who has one and hes goin to let me borrow it this week. I'm going to try it out, might hav eto do an update to it though.
